Licence, trial & updates

One price, two machines, no account. The fine print, in plain words.

Plaza starts as a 14-day free trial — the whole app, no email, no account. After that it's a one-time $49 licence for 2 devices, with a full refund within 14 days of purchase, no questions (hello@secondmarch.xyz).

Activating

Buy, get a key by email, paste it into the licence screen. Moving to a new machine is self-service: Settings → About → License → Deactivate this device frees the seat, and you activate on the new one — no need to email anyone, no limit on how often.

Offline, honestly

Plaza opens, browses, tags, plans and previews with no network at all — fonts included. The one thing that needs the internet is the licence itself: an activated copy re-verifies quietly in the background and will run up to 14 days between successful checks. Longer than that fully offline, and the app pauses until it can reach the licence server once. Your files and every byte of .plaza/ metadata are untouched either way.

When the trial ends

The app locks until you enter a key. Nothing is deleted, nothing is exported, nothing is held hostage — your folder still opens in Explorer or Finder like it always did, and .plaza/ waits for the licence.

Updates

Updates are included. Plaza checks for a new version when it starts, shows a small pill when one exists, and installs on your say-so — with the release notes shown first. The same notes power the in-app "What's new".

Terms and privacy live at /terms/ and /privacy/ — written to match how the app actually behaves, including the no-telemetry promise.
